Highway 20 Bridge to Dagurre Dam
Highway 20 Bridge to Dagurre Dam
Just East of Marysville, the Lower Yuba River is one of the premier fisheries in the state. Open throughout the year below the Highway 20 bridge, the Yuba is host to wild, native runs of salmon, steelhead, and rainbow trout.
The trout of the Lower Yuba are in a class of their own with their broad shoulders, silver sides and awesome aerials. Often anglers are baffled to look down and see backing with a 15” trout peeling line.
We achieve success on the Yuba using several techniques including swinging flies, tossing dry flies and nymphing under indicators.
During the fall and winter months steelhead migrate through the system and eagerly eat our fly offerings.
The Yuba is a challenging river... are you up for it?
